My Son’s Poem
My son brought home the following poem from his second grade class the other day:
The Storm
by James Alexander ChambersAnd then in a storm,
I heard a tornado.
It was so strong it picked up my tomato. There was a potato,
Then I played with my Play-Doh,
Then I caught my tomato
And threw it at the tornado.

Sheer genius. I was on the edge of my seat. I sure hope there’s a sequel.

When I grow up, I want to be as good a writer as James A Chambers!
…and throw tomatoes
