Where?

Jamie alternates between the offices of Signal Fire Studios and his home in north Georgia. And while he’s not unknown at a local coffee shop or neighborhood bar, he sometimes travels to conventions, store game days, and other events. Here’s the place to find out where Jamie plans to be in 2010.

Already Attended: GAMA Trade Show, The SIEGE

Origins Game Fair (Columbus, Ohio) – June 23-27, 2010

Origins is run by GAMA, so I will be there in my role as Vice President of the GAMA Board. This is a fantastic show with a ridiculous number of games to play. You’ll find me wandering the hall, slinging dice, or chatting up industry folks at the Big Bar on 2.

Comic-Con International (San Diego, California) – July 22-25, 2010

Comic-Con is the biggest show I’ve ever attended, and runs the full range of entertainment and pop culture. It’s a trek just to get from one side of the hall to ther other, and there is simply no way to see and do it all. I’ll be selling products at a booth, meeting with licensing partners, and hanging out with my SoCal friends. As I did last year, I’m sharing my booth with Felicia Day and The Guild, plus helping artist Lindsay Archer sell her gorgeous creations!

Gen Con Game Fair (Indianapolis, Indiana) – August 5-8, 2010

For most hobby game manufacturers, this is the biggest convention of the year. What started as a small weekend of gaming at Horticultural Hall in Lake Geneva is now a gigantic event hosting well over 25,000 people! I’ll be there as an attendee this year–meeting with industry folks, playing games, and singing karaoke.

Dragon*Con (Atlanta, Georgia) – September 3-6, 2009

Dragon*Con is my hometown Con in Georgia, which started as a much smaller event that has grown to being the southeast hotspot for fandom of all kinds (not to mention partying for four days straight). I’m a guest again this year, which is awesome considering I used to sleep on the floor of friends’ hotel rooms or get my Dad to drive me back and forth.

RinCon (Tuscon, Arizona) – October 8-10, 2010 – Tentative

Described as a relaxing get-away for gamers, I was told a very impressive list of tentative guests for this show. It sounds right up my alley, and a total blast! Hoping to spend some great time out west.

Con on the Cob (Hudson, Ohio) – October 14-17, 2010 – Tentative

My friend (and former Sovereign Stone artist) Andy Hopp has invited me back to come as a special guest for Con on the Cob. “Games, Art, Freaks, and Fun” is just as much fun as it sounds! I had a blast last year.
